Long Lost by Linda Castillo

GOOD MORNING!!!!

I am so excited....I was fadoodling on FB and stumbled on a post that one of my FAVE'S had a short story released today... I have been chomping for her book release in June. I am a HUGE fan girl!!! Her Kate Burkholder series is FANFLIPPINTASTICNESS!!!!

Well I just read it....what a teaser, I CANNOT wait until her 5th installment Her Last Breath is releasing on June 18th. This series is just awesomeness. When I met her in Chicago last year there was major SQUEEEEING on my part. She is stunning and the sweetest AND TO BOOT....She writes a mean mystery.... When I was working I pimped her until the cows came home. I will never forget a day I talked a customer into trying Sworn to Silence, the first in the series. Later that day, same customer calls to yell at me. She made herself lunch before her shift for work and sat down to eat and decided to start the book. SHE WAS LATE FOR WORK...LOL She could not put the book down. DUH... I know books!

If you like a mystery, characters that grip you and never let go, and a thrill ride then this series is a MUST. She takes 2 severely damaged characters and brings them together to solve very intense cases and somewhere along the way they find peace in each other. Burkholder and Tomesetti are quite the duo.

KATE BURKHOLDER MYSTERY SERIES

Sworn to Silence
Pray for Silence
Breaking Silence
Gone Missing
Long Lost (short story)
Her Last Breath 6/18

I literally just devoured this in record time and was compelled to share with you all. If you have not read her....YOU MUST!!! PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT, YOUR DEVICE AND EMAIL and I will give away 2 e-copies of this AWESOMENESS!!!!

I am a total fan girl and she is the sweetest lady. AND this B... can sure writa a book. Her books are constant page turners. I LOVE a good murder mystery with romance. AND Debra does it AWESOMELY. Some of my ABSOLUTE FAVES that combine murder, mystery, the chase and romance are....Debra Webb, Karen Rose, Allison Brennan, Beverly Barton just to name a few. In my opinion these ladies (to just name a few) take Romantic Suspense to a deeper...AND darker level. I LOVE IT!!!

There is nothing better than a killer taking us on a chase and a hero and heroine that take us along for the ride. Debra's books suck me in, take me on a wild ride and leave me wanting more every darned time :) Today I wanted to share and give a shout out to her Faces of Evil Series. Rage was just released, book 4 in this FANTASTIC series.

Half Moon Hill by Toni Blake

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!!

Phew.....here we are again, another Tuesday. I have been a busy busy bee since we chatted last, been doing a lot of reading. Also did a quick run through with my partner and sent out our book. PLEASE cross your fingers and toes. How can I describe the feeling, well it is like ripping your guts out, especially sending it to someone you have met and really respect in the writing world. ACK!!! OK, let's focus....*sips coffee and deep, deep breathe*

I was VERY lucky to receive an ARC of this FANTASTIC read. The Destiny Series is one of my FAVES....The wonderful Robyn Carr suggested to me that I should read Toni Blake a couple years ago, I devoured the couple that were out. AND since then she has been a must buy for me. From the first book I was hooked, there are 6 books in the series. Sadly the only thing that disappoints me about this book is , it appears to be the last visit we will be taking to Destiny, Ohio. I remember reading the first book and there is a scene that is still with me after all this time. Nothing wrong with a romp in the foliage...nothing at all.

This series is fun, romantic and a must read. I love this town and the people you meet throughout the series. As you know I have been submerged in contemporary series surrounded by a small town feeling. I cannot get enough and I am going to blame the arrival of this ARC and the greatness of it for making me rip through my shelves and return to all my FAVORITE authors and places they take me, like Mariah Stewart, Robyn Carr, Emily March, Barbara Freethy, Kristan Higgins, Carly Phillips sadly I am all caught up with Jill Shalvis....HURRY PLEASE! If you have not had the pleasure of visiting Destiny, Ohio....take a moment and pick up a Toni Blake Destiny book and let her show you around. I loved visiting...I wish I could work at the bookstore :)

FROM Toni Blake's website...

A rugged loner and ex-biker-gang member, Duke Dawson is looking for some peace and quiet while recovering from an accident. But when Anna Romo comes wandering through his woods and into his cabin, she completely rocks his world. The last thing he expected – or wanted – was to find himself hungering after a woman whose eyes held hurts even deeper than his own…

Running from a troubled past, Anna is building a new life in Destiny. When she first meets Duke, she's terrified— but something about him calls to her very soul. The hard-bodied rebel is soon helping her turn her new home into a bed and breakfast, and close quarters quickly lead them into her bed. Their passion is palpable – but can she convince a man who has turned his back on life to take the biggest leap of faith of all and fall in love

As I was perusing her website I came across this little tidbit...I am very excited to read what is coming from this FAB author.

What's Coming Next in Destiny

All the same heart and heat from the Destiny series heads to the beach. Look for Coral Cove in Spring 2014.

Angel Bay Series by Barbara Freethy

GOOD MORNING! It is Thursday again......I hope all are doing well, I have read some FAB reads this week. AND look at me blogging pretty regular again. WOOHOO!! I have talked to a couple of gals, a new friend who ROCKS and we have a lot in common and an old friend who has been a great supporter of this blog. I am trying to talk both of them into joining the fun :) I would LOVE to have other voices here sharing there love of books and authors.

So I just now finished the 5th book in Barbara Freethy's Angel Bay Series, Garden of Secrets. It took me a while to get to. I always laugh at myself when I do this because it was AWESOME, and sitting on my shelf way too long. I have so many books I sometimes get lost on what to pick. This series has so many great aspects that I love. Romance, some mystery, every day struggles such as a parent with dimentia, lost love, and old friendships. Barbara Freethy immerses you into Angel Bay and you feel as though these characters are family. Like my FAVES Kristan Higgins, Jill Shalvis, Laura Moore, Toni Blake, Carly Phillips and Robyn Carr (there are a ton more of my FAVE contemp authors) you LOVE returning to the magic that they create.

ANGEL BAY SERIES

Suddenly One Summer
On Shadow Beach
In Shelter Cove
At Hidden Falls
Garden of Secrets

I absolutely adore her writing and how she takes you on a journey. If you have not read, I strongly suggest. You will LOVE her.
I am going to give away a copy of Garden of Secrets. Please leave me a comment and your email and I will pick a winner tomorrow morning before I journey up to pick college boy up for yet another visit home....his 19th birthday is this weekend.

Into the Light by HK Savage

Happy Happy RELEASE DAY!!!!

Good Morning Bookies....Tuesday is upon us. I would like you all to wave and give a shout out to my girl. Today the second book in the Admiral's Elite Series is here. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Second Sight, I am about 3/4 done Into the Light and I am LOVING it too. There is nothing like re-visiting your favorite characters. I thoroughly enjoy series reads, expecially one that left me clamoring for more. Becca and Michael are 2 characters that always leave me wanting, no NEEDING more. I am enjoying this one as she delves more into Ryan and Gabrielle's relationship...if I may call it that.

HK Savage's voice and writing style glue me to my seat. She has a way of writing that I really enjoy, not to mention she cracks me up. She is a great lady. I am torn between not wanting to finish and dying to get back to it. I read so damn fast and shockingly I get annoyed that I have to wait for more. I often give her my two cents on the characters...for instance I am not a fan...AT ALL of the Admiral....she tells me to just wait... ACK...I hate waiting...LOL Write FASTER.... Again, the key to a GREAT read is characters that make you FEEL...whether or not you like them or love them...OR LUST THEM....Michael is one hellofa sexy Vampire.

A vicious serial killer is on the loose in Wisconsin and it's up to the Admiral's Elite to stop him. Admiral Black's second in command, Captain Michael Rossi, has been tasked with finding out who or what the killer is and put an end to his reign of bloodshed while avoiding some pitfalls of his own. Like hiding the fact that he's falling in love with Becca from the admiral who would be sure to use it against them. Ghosts from Gabrielle's past threaten her place with her unit and Ryan's bed.

Local police are puzzled and the town is terrified. The Admiral's Elite must find a killer, stop him without anyone finding out their true identities, and not be torn apart in the process.

So...Please give her a warm welcome and say Howdy! Today I will be giving away a copy of Into the Light. PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT, or just say Hi and you will be entered to win an e-copy. Please leave me your email and device.

If you have not read her....check out the first in this FANTASTIC series...

Rebecca Sauter is a proud military police officer with a secret; she’s clairvoyant. Her ex-Marine father can’t understand why she won’t try harder for a commission but for Becca, hiding among the greater mass of enlisted men and women is safer.

One night on a run she encounters a terrifying man and his beastly dogs; in her attempts to defend herself she hits her head and passes out. When she wakes up in the hospital she’s being collected by a handsome but rude officer.

Humans are fragile. That has been Captain Michael Rossi’s mantra since his first days as a vampire in 1944. Now Admiral Black has given a post within his elite unit to a human woman solely because she has “the sight”. Michael’s fears that she will bring harm to his men are soon eclipsed by his realization that it is her who might suffer should the admiral decide she is a poor fit.

HK Savage has a FANTASTIC voice in the PNR genre....BE SURE TO CHECK HER OUT!!!! I hope to do a chat on chatroll soon.... She is a blast to talk to. As soon as things settle down for her, I will twist her arm, Reggie YOU will LOVE her and you will get your wish :) So leave a comment and I will pick a winner tomorrow morning!!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL TUESDAY!!!
