THIS BITCH WRITES ONE HELL OF A SERIES: The FABULOUS Stephanie Tyler......

I have always been a HUGE fan of romantic suspense.  I have read many, many authors from this genre.  Last week I caught up on my Shadow Force Novels.  I read In The Air Tonight and Night Moves by the oh so talented Stephanie Tyler.  Once I started I devoured both books.

IN THE AIR TONIGHT

This story was a very fast paced wild ride.  I LOVE a book with a crazed killer.....  and boy oh boy this did not disappoint.  Mace the hero in this book is my ABSOLUTE favorite.....  He is a troubled soul, who desperately misses his best friend.  Enters best friend "sister" Paige.  And then the sparks fly.  I loved the chemistry between them, I also so enjoyed the subplots with the surrounding characters.  The journey with the characters kept me on the edge of my seat.  And it was HOT, SEXY and sooo FUN....

NIGHT MOVES

This story was a more emotional journey.  The hero is VERY damaged.  He feels the desperate need to redeem himself.  Kell is the hero and his love interest is just as damaged as he is.  He is a hero that MUST protect and fix things.  Teddie is HIS heroine, she saves HIM and vice versa...  I really enjoyed the characters and also the recurring chacters from other books.  I love how she weaves the stories around the characters.  Every turn of the page I wanted more and more.  And she can write a love scene like nobodies business.

Stephanie does such a great job portaying her characters feelings.  Guilt, pain, trauma, love, all of these emotions are constantly swirling aound.  I also really admire how she writes the relationship of these men to each other.  They are true brothers in arms.....  That alone for me is soooooo HOT.  I highly reccommend picking up a book by STEPHANIE TYLER.  She is also such a sweatheart.  I have had the pleasure of meeting her.  She makes me smile everytime I see her.

Her books are as follows:

Navy Seal Trilogy

Hard to Hold
Too Hot to Hold
Hold on Tight

Shadow Force Novels

Lie with Me
Promises in the Dark
In the Air Tonight
Night Moves

My reviews may seem generic, but I do not do spoilers.  I dont want to ruin your reading experience.  If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.  When I was a book seller I would get teased for telling to much, sooooo I have tried to be better at not spoiling the fun.....

Have a Great Day!!!!  We are getting closer and closer to THE TWELVE DAYS OF AUTHORS GIVEAWAY...  We are up to 31 authors, and guess what STEPHANIE TYLER IS ON THE LIST!!!  She has been a huge help!!!!!!

Paranormal Palooza...... Fever series by Karen Marie Moning

Upon many recommendations I read the whole entire Fever series by Karen Marie Moning in 10 days.

Darkfever
Bloodfever
Faefever
Dreamfever
Shadowfever

When I worked in the book store we sold many copies of this series.  My customers who enjoy paranormal had great things to say.  Recently a good friend highly suggested I start them.  While perusing on Facebook, many others were reading them too.  So I started, I LOVED the characters Mac and Barrons.  I also really enjoyed the world she created in Dublin, Ireland.  The surrounding characters in the story were also a lot of fun.  One character in particular Dani, a young 13 year old warrior will be having a series of her own. One of my former customers told me that after she read this series, she went and read her other books.  The Highlander series, she said there are characters from this series in the Fever series.   My only issue was there was to much angst with Mac and Barrons.  They were over the moon for each other, I just wanted them to get together at the begining. And be together throughout each book.   But a friend of mine said, she LOVED the angst.  I kept comparing it to one of my favorite series.  You can not do that.  I learned quickly to really appreciate the series for its own and to go with the flow.  I quickly consumed the 5 books in a very short period of time.  I recommend trying this series if you enjoy paranormal romance.  I want to thank Angela for the great recommendation.......  I will also be giving away all 5 Books in a Holiday Giveaway in December.  So stay tuned on how to win them......:-)

HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY!!!!!!!

GREAT FUN NEWS...........

I had the pleasure of hearing from the FABULOUS Robyn Carr.  She has offered to mail a couple of  signed copies of Bring Me Home for Christmas to some lucky followers......Sooooo I decided with some input from some friends to put out a question........

What is your "MOST EMBARASSING HOLIDAY MOMENT?"

We will have a little interactive fun.  Please spread the word....

The top 2 funniest "HOLIDAY MOMENT" will win a copy.  This author is one of my ABSOLUTE favorite out there.  Her Virgin River series is one of my all time faves.....   And when a customer was looking for a GREAT read, she was my go to gal.....  She was such a HUGE seller in our store.  You become so immersed in the stories you wish you could live in Virgin River.  I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting Robyn, she is as kind, warm and funny in person as the wonderful characters in her books.  I am a BIG FAN GIRL.....  Many want to meet "hollywood types", I LOVE meeting authors (THANKS JENN).  There talent blows me away.  And Robyn was my all time must meet. She has also made sure that I have met other phenomenal authors such as Jill Shalvis and Kristan Higgins.   In the year since I have met her she has become a friend, and I had a chance to see her again in June in NY, where she introduced me to above authors.  When I told her I was starting this blog she came right back with lets do a giveaway.... I have also heard from other authors that are also interested in joining the fun.  So if all goes well, we should have a prize once a month.

If you are wondering, mmm what is she looking for...  Let me tell you a little xmas funny haha.  I will of course clean it up a bit.  Don't want to cause a scandal, I am the mommy of 5...  But lets just say that one evening over xmas (years ago), me and the love of my life were rather amorous around the xmas tree.  And must of been, lets say loud...  And our oldest yelled to make sure I was a-ok.  I said sure am, just have a tummy ache.  And that is my xmas blunder.  So please everyone join in, have some fun and on Black Friday I will announce the winners.

I hope everyone will participate,  may the laughter commence.......

P.S.  If you have not read Robyn, I strongly suggest you add her to your TBR pile.  You will not be sorry.......

FUN, FABULOUS and SO DAMN FUNNY!!!!!

Animal Attraction by Jill Shalvis

I MUST begin with this......

"Crush on the doc,"Peanut said.
Jade glared at the parrot.  "What?"
"Boner."
Jade stood up, and pointed at her.  "You can't say'Polly wants a cracker,' but you can say'crush on the doc' and 'boner'?  Are you kidding me?"
"Crush on the doc! Crush on the doc!"

I was LUCKY enough to be able to read an ARC of Animal Attraction by the AWESOME Jill Shalvis.  It is the 2nd book in this series based in Sunshine, Idaho.  This series features 3 would be brothers Brady, Dell and Adam.  You first meet Dell in Animal Magnetism (Brady's book).  Dell and Jade's story is fun, HOT and so romantic.  Jill has an uncanny ability to write a mans point of view.  I flew through this book.  I laughed at times so damn hard, my family looked at me as if I needed meds.....  There is nothing better than reading a book that has so many different facets to it.  This story made me FEEL.  When I read a book, I love to get lost in the story.  I laughed, I FELT the characters longing and it thrilled me till the very end.  I can not wait until the next time I get to visit Sunshine, Idaho.  This book is an absolute MUST for anyone looking for a FUN, HOT, SEXY romance.

I hope that if you have not tried a Jill Shalvis book, this makes you want to RUN to do so.  I have had the pleasure of reading most of her books.  And the pleasure of recommending them for many years.  My customers ALWAYS came back clammering for more..

In June I went to New York with my very good friend and coworker Jennifer and a customer Suzanne(who has become our friend) to attend a large romance author signing.  I am thrilled to say that we were able to meet Jill their.  She is kind, warm and soooooo funny.  My customers always enjoyed when Jenn and I would share with them our meeting authors.  It adds so much to the book buying and reading experience when you find out how approachable these FABULOUS authors are.  I THANK YOU Jill for bringing so much JOY into our lives.  Reading a GOOD book, takes me away.  And as a Mom, I NEED to go away OFTEN.  I know I am not alone in this appreciation of your books.  I am looking forward to more in the near future.....(hint, hint)

Please feel free ALL to share your favorite of Jill's books.  And any thoughts and comments..  I have asked Jill to pop over.  So hopefully we will hear from her.  Thanks again for stopping by :-)

FYI~  This book is now AVAILABLE!!!!!!!!

Welcome & THANK YOU!!!!

Good Morning

I thought I would start off by telling a little about myself.......

I have always been an avid reader, shopped at my local Borders Express in the mall once a week.  Would bring my kids with me and it would be our big outing of the week.  Kids would get a book and Mommy would get a pile of books....  Each time I went in the manager and I became more and more friendly.  She would recommend and even give me ARCS from my favorite authors.  Some time after the birth of my 5th child, she said are you ready to come to work here.  And so it began my 7 years at Borders.  I worked my way up to manager of this store and it became so much more than a job.  I have met so many incredible authors (thanks Jenn), fabulous customers and my coworkers were amazing.....  As we all know Borders is no more.  At the urging of many authors, friends and customers(who have become friends) I am starting this blog.  It is my hope to share my love of reading, recommend books, discuss books and just have a fun outlet for our addiction.  I know all of us have our very own favorites, some overlap, some do not.  That is A-OK...  We can all respect each others likes and dislikes, and our opinions should be respected by all.

I hope to have guest authors, maybe some fun give-aways, and if anyone as any ideas please pass them along.  Most of you know I am not the greatest on the computer.  But I really want to learn....  I received a kick in the pants yesterday by a friend and author, Nancy Martin.  She told me to stop wallowing at the loss of my job and get this going...  I can not THANK her enough.  It was just what I needed.  I am so excited to begin a new journey.  I also want to THANK EVERY person who has been so deeply kind to me during this time....  Especially my new peeps Cin, Ang, JJ, Jan, Hay and Ames.....These gals have helped daily get me through the enormous loss I feel over losing my job...  Plus the fun joys of parenting too.  Thanks guys, you rock.....  Also BIG SHOUT OUT to my NAUTI PEEPS...........  Also want to THANK my BFF....  She is best friend ever and has been PUSHING me forever to do this...  Thanks Dawn...  And Marti...xxooxx.....

Sooooo, I will start reviewing books daily at the urging of Nancy.  And we will see where it goes from there.  Thanks again, and may the FUN commence....

P.S.  John(the hubby), posted the first blog as a test.  He  was tickled this morning because people responded.  LOL
