I am very, very excited to tell you that the FANTABULOUS Jessica Scott will be coming over for a chat on Friday, January 13th at 9:30 eastern time. A friend told me that this was one of the BEST books she read in 2011. I am reading right now.... Please check out her book and come on over Friday night...
Jessica will be giving away a $25.00 gift card to your choice of Amazon or B&N and a copy of the book Because of You....
From the war-torn streets of Baghdad to the bittersweet comforts of the home front, two wounded hearts navigate the battlefield of coming home from war in this explosive eBook original from newcomer Jessica Scott.
Keeping his men alive is all that matters to Sergeant First Class Shane Garrison. But meeting Jen St. James the night before his latest deployment makes Shane wonder if there's more to life than war. He leaves for Iraq remembering a single kiss with a woman he'll never see again- until a near fatal attack lands him back at home and in her care. Jen has survived her own brush with death and endured its scars. And yet there's a fire in Shane that makes Jen forget all about her past. He may be her patient, but when this warrior looks her in the eyes, she feels - for the first time in a long time - like a woman. Shane is too proud to ask for help, but for Jen, caring for him is more than a duty -it's a need. And as Jen guides Shane through the fires of healing, she finds something she never expected - her deepest desire.
Hope to see you on Friday night.... Just log onto the chatroll and commence with the fun....
HAPPY TUESDAY.....

ReplyDeletethis book sounds really good, i am going to put this on my list to read.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this book. The romance was lovely but there were side issues about surviving illness and war and military life that were so well done. They enhanced the romance while making you think a little. BUT, I can't believe the next book isn't out until September! Too long to wait!
ReplyDeleteOn thing I really like about your blog Mau, is that it is sincere and funny. (And I get great reccs out of it too!) Keep up the good work and don't pay attention to trolls. ♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteThat is a book I would love to read. Just hope that it will be available internationally soon
ReplyDeleteI was able to read this book before it came out and was very impressed with the authenticity of the military aspects of the story. It was immediately apparent that Jessica had served. I really enjoyed it! I hope you all enjoy it! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo many books, great ideas, so little time. I need more time to read... This one looks good too..
ReplyDeleteI've read this book and can't wait for the next one to come out. I am married to a disabled veteran and know first hand how emotionally traumatized some of our service men and women are when they return from war zones. I think that emotional aspect is what has drawn me to books like this one. It validates feelings and emotions felt by everyone (myself included). It is great to see romance build with the healing process. And I'm SO glad that there is a happy ending because I've had enough of things in real life not being all that happy all the time.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to reading more from Jessica Scott and I hope to be on my computer of Friday!
I loved this book. Can't wait for the next one.
