Today I would like to chat about this AMAZING read..... I have been beta reading for the wonderful Stephanie Rowe. It is really hard, but oddly very rewarding. I had the pleasure of working on this book. I was blown away. It is AMAZING!!!! A very good friend and I realized, she too was beta reading Stephanie. I told her I was reading a FAB paranormal romance, duh, so was she. LOL..... I asked her today to help me out, with this blog... If you like paranormal you must come and meet these characters.... They leap off the pages. I CAN'T wait till the next book....



Darkness Awakened is the first book by Stephanie Rowe… in her Order of the Blade Trilogy.


We are introduced to a group of unique men, that form a tight knit brotherhood, they are knownas the Calydon Warriors. Each warrior has tattooedweapon etched into their fore arms, which would become real when called out.These men are pure, raw, brute strength, fiercely loyal and super sexy to boot!Now for the twist….These immortal warriors are cursed with a dark side.

Each will meet their soul mate, their sheva, the one woman he is destined to be with but also the one destined to destroy him.. Enter, Grace Matthews, a women searching for her missing sister, who is being accused of killing Calydon warriors. Having nowhere else to turn, she seeks out the Calydon warrior Quinn for help.

As soon as Grace and Quinn meet, the sparks start to fly!The dialogue between these two strong characters is wonderfully witty. The sexual tension is off the chart. And yet, there is such a tender sweetness that lingers. These two are drawn to each other, craving an intimacy that they both know will eventually kill them.

To say that I totally fell in love with Quinn Masters and Grace Matthews would be a huge understatement. I loved the commit they had to each other while knowing the costs. I found myself thinking about them even after I put the book down.

Their journey to rescue Grace’s sister while fighting their own destiny is fast pace and action packed. There is never a dull moment. We are also introduced to some wonderful secondary characters that really help complete the story. I am hoping to see some of these characters to return with their own story. (Well there are 2 more books and I can always hope!)

I absolutely loved the fantastic world that Stephanie Rowe has created. The richness and the details for this world were unique. She gave this paranormal story a totally new and fresh approach. It left me guessing till the very end! I guess that’s why Stephanie has been a Four-time RITA® Award nominee and Golden Heart® Award winner! Janet......



Dayum...Well said Janet!!!! I soo agree, I was sucked in from the beginning. LOVED the world, LOVED the HAWT men, LOVED the connections between them all.. The mens relationships with each other as well as their interactions with the Heroine... The Hero was tooo die for... AND their chemistry was off the charts. I am dying for the next book too... I HIGHLY suggest you check this out. Especially if you are a lover of paranormal.
